I've been tagged! Thanks, Deanne, for giving me something to post about!

The rules of the game:
1. Find the nearest book to you.

Okay, so technically the nearest book to me is the Sudoku book that I work on while Rob is watching basketball - but I don't think that will work! The next closest book is Claire Fontaine Crime Fighter - A novel of life and death and shoes by Tracy Enright. (I forget, am I supposed to underline book titles or italicize them?) I haven't started reading this one yet - I just picked it up from the library - and am unfamiliar with the author. But I was intrigued by the title (hello! it's about shoes!) and after reading page 123, I'm even more intrigued.

I pulled open the glass door and stepped onto Hollywood Boulevard. The sky was dark and cloudless and still. Bennett revved the engine and we headed west. He was silent and I imagined his head was full of thoughts and ideas. Something brilliant was being tossed around in that thick skull of his. He was sizing up the enemy, devising a game plan, and on the brink of investigative genius.

"I want a taco," he said, looking over at me.

That's more that three sentences, but I just had to include the taco part. Hee hee. Now I'm supposed to tag three of my fellow bloggers - but I don't think I have three people to tag. Deanne - am I allowed to tag you back? :)
